Professional Qualifications
Mr. Cody DeCamp has experience defending retailers in consumer class actions in state and federal courts across the country. He has litigated cases under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, California’s False Advertising and Unfair Competition Laws, and Proposition 65. His experience includes successful motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment in state and federal court, preparing witnesses for depositions, handling written discovery, and negotiating resolution of Proposition 65 claims.
Mr. DeCamp has also successfully defended businesses in a range of disputes including wrongful termination, breach of contract, false advertising, and business interruption suits arising from COVID-19. He has participated in arbitration and mediation of a partnership dispute between co-founders of a startup company, and his representation of a municipal entity and official resulted in dismissal of a civil rights action against the official.
Mr. Cody DeCamp earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, where he was a member of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program, and the Latino Law Students Association. He received a B.A. degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
