Rogers Joseph O’Donnell, P.C., a mid-sized law firm with offices in San Francisco and Washington, D.C., is seeking an associate with 2-5 years’ experience to work on regulatory, privacy and cybersecurity matters to support the firm’s well-established Government Contracts and Retail/Trade practice groups.  While prior experience in these areas is not required, candidates should have solid academic credentials, excellent writing skills, and analytic ability as well as display strong attention to detail. Some litigation experience is preferred.

Seeking A Litigation Secretary

Location: San Francisco Financial District

Rogers Joseph O’Donnell is seeking a full-time litigation secretary for our Complex Commercial Litigation and Professional Liability Practice Groups. This position provides a comprehensive range of secretarial support, including typing, editing, formatting legal documents and correspondence; knowledge of calendaring and state/federal court rules and procedures, filing documents both electronically and via courier; telephone communications with clients and business contacts; inputting attorney time; paper and electronic file maintenance; calendar and contacts maintenance; preparing expense reimbursement forms and various other tasks as assigned.


  •  Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a legal secretary.
  • Strong skills in word processing and computer use:  type 85 wpm with high accuracy; proficiency in MS Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Teams, Zoom) and Adobe Acrobat; knowledge of PowerPoint and timekeeping programs.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team-oriented, client focused environment and to multi-task in a calm, composed manner.
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to keep the attorney organized and on task at times.
  • Excellent grammar, proofreading and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate by telephone in a professional, courteous manner with clients, firm members, and other business contacts.
  • Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to keep your attorney updated re: “what comes next” in a case .
  • Ability to draft initial discovery and general pleading documents.
  • Ability to follow client confidentiality guidelines.

Seeking An Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper

Location: San Francisco Financial District

Rogers Joseph O’Donnell is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper who excels at multitasking.  The Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper will act as point of contact between the different parts of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and external parties, such as vendors, suppliers, or clients.  He/she will assist in preparing financial reports, taxes, and audits, and resolving discrepancies. The Bookkeeper should be analytical, collaborative, and trustworthy.


  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
  • Make journal or ledger entries
  • Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, and yearly financial reports and budgets
  • Assist with tax preparation, audits, and identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Support Accounting Manager as payroll back-up
  • Process for payment all vendor invoices and expense reports; reconcile monthly vendor statements
  • Keep current on company, local, state, and federal financial regulations and policies


  • College level accounting classes or degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years accounting experience preferably in a law firm
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft and Outlook
  • Ability to problem-solve, prioritize and multi-task
  • Highly trustworthy, discreet and ethical
