Bob Metzger Leads Cybersecurity Panel at RSA Conference 2018 in San Francisco

RJO shareholder Bob Metzger will lead a cybersecurity panel at the RSA Conference 2018.  The program, “First Recourse or Last Resort? The National Interest in Regulating the IoT,” will be held at 3:00 p.m., in San Francisco.  The RSA Conference is widely considered the world’s premier information security event.  Selection is extremely competitive, as more than 2,100 submissions were considered.  Bob will be joined by Dan Caprio, Co-Founder, The Providence Group, and Harvey Rishikof, Chair of the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Law and National Security and was a professor of law and national security studies at the National Defense University, National War College in Washington, D.C.

The session abstract states:  “The IoT will impact Government irrespective of awareness, authorship or control. IoT use cases illustrate both benefits and risks to public infrastructure and welfare. Trust that promotes industry initiative creates public risk should market-driven measures fail. The speakers will examine pending initiatives to use federal regulatory power or acquisition authority to mitigate IoT security risks.”
