Sharon Rossi to Present Workplace Violence Prevention Webinar

Rogers Joseph O’Donnell P.C. shareholder Sharon Ongerth Rossi will discuss what California employers need to understand about communicating workplace violence prevention plans during a Lorman Education Services live webinar on Jan. 23 from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. EST/ 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. PST. 

Rossi’s webinar, “California Workplace Violence Prevention – What Employees Need to Know,” will explain how to educate employees on employer obligations under Labor Code Section 6401.9. She will also analyze potential employer liability risks (including negligence and discrimination claims), review the prevention plan requirements and discuss practical solutions for prevention, reporting and workplace safety response.

Rossi’s practice is focused on defending complex cases in state and federal courts, with emphasis on class and representative actions, including PAGA claims. She has experience handling all aspects of litigation from inception through trial, as well as appeals. In addition, Rossi has extensive experience counseling employers on a wide array of matters, including leaves of absence, disability accommodations, terminations and harassment complaints. She also works with employers to ensure their policies are legally compliant and conducts investigations in response to employee complaints of alleged unlawful practices.
