Aaron Silberman to Present at SMPS Event on Building an Inclusive Future in the A/E/C Sector
Rogers Joseph O’Donnell PC Construction Practice Group co-chair and Government Contracts Practice Group member Aaron P. Silberman will present on how architecture, engineering and construction (A/E/C) companies can build an inclusive future at a Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) meeting on May 29 in San Francisco, California. Stacée Barkley, Global DEI Leader at DPR Construction; Tierney Azzopardi, Vice President of Human Resources at Blach Construction; and A.L. Hu, Architect at SmithGroup will join Silberman in the discussion.
The presentation, “Building an Inclusive Future: DEI Insights for the A/E/C Industry,” will address the various facets of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), including those in political, cultural and workplace landscapes. Silberman, who will present on the legal aspects of DEI, will discuss the presidential executive orders, federal policies and legal risks A/E/C companies must navigate as they design and implement DEI strategies.

Silberman focuses his practice on government contracts and construction law, including litigation, representing contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and design professionals in the construction, defense, transportation, technology, healthcare, disaster relief, telecom and service industries. Practicing since 1992, he is a former chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Public Contract Law Section and a former Governing Committee member of the ABA Forum on Construction Law, and he also chaired several of their committees and divisions. He is also a former chair of the Associated General Contractors of California (AGCC) Legal Advisory Committee and Bay Bridge District Board of Directors.
