Government Contracts Practice Group Joins Holiday Fundraising Campaign

For the second year, Rogers Joseph O’Donnell’s Government Contracts Practice Group is participating in a holiday campaign to fight hunger in the greater Washington, D.C. area. As part of the 2026 GovCon Holiday Fundraising Campaign benefiting the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB), the firm has joined other government contracts law firms in the area, pledging to raise $15,000 this holiday season.

According to CAFB’s 2026 Hunger Report, food insecurity in the area is at a five-year high, with estimates surpassing those seen near the height of the pandemic. The report states that about 38 percent of area households experienced food insecurity during the past year. Significant job losses, increased living costs and lagging wages for the region are some of the reasons for this heightened need for food assistance.

Every $1 donation provides two meals towards the fight against hunger. The campaign is run directly through the Capital Area Food Bank, a member of Feeding America, that works with more than 400 nonprofit organizations to provide more than 60 million meals annually to people in communities across D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
