CMMC 2.0 Webinar: Bob Metzger Discusses Proposed DOD Cyber Guidelines with CyberSecurity TV
The Department of Defense (DOD) has released its proposed Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 regulations for public comment. These rules will affect 220,000 companies in the Defense Industrial Base. More than 75,000 DOD suppliers will be required to pass an independent third-party assessment as a condition for future eligibility for DOD contracts.
Join RJO shareholder and Cybersecurity practice group lead Robert Metzger on January 16 at 2 p.m. EST as he breaks down the new rules, discusses how to participate in the 60-day comment period and provides his thoughts on what defense contractors need to know regarding compliance. Hosted by Dan Turissini and CyberSecurityTV, the webinar will also cover the qualification of cloud service providers, what’s expected of managed services providers (MSPs) and other external service providers and how manufacturers are affected. The key issue of impacts to small businesses will be discussed, with a Q&A rounding out the session.
Sign up for the webinar and submit your questions for Metzger in advance.

Washington Technology has noted that Metzger is “considered by many to be the father of DoD’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)” initiative. He was a member of the Defense Board Task Force that produced the April 2017 “Cyber Supply Chain” report and is a co-author of the MITRE Corporation “Deliver Uncompromised” Report that is recognized for its continuing influence over the cyber and supply chain strategies of the DOD and federal civilian agency.
