Robert S. Metzger Speaker at The 6th Annual Internet of Things Global Summit

On Thursday, October 4, 2018, Robert S. Metzger spoke on “IoT for Government: Shaping the future of Government services through digitization” at the 6th Annual Internet of Things Global Summit in Washington, DC. This summit will investigate the IoT ecosystem in the United States and on a global scale while exploring how its potential can be harnessed.

In Session 2, he will discuss that despite the potential for the IoT to improve responsiveness, efficiency, safety, health, and quality of life, the public sector has fallen behind private businesses when it comes to fully-integrating smart systems at every level of government. This session will also look at the challenges that public agencies and institutions meet when digitizing their services and processes, as well as the opportunities and solutions that IoT can offer to address these barriers.
