RJO Welcomes Richard Harris

RJO is pleased to announce that Richard Harris has joined the Construction Law Practice Group.

Mr. Harris served as General Counsel for a public works construction firm for over six years. He has extensive legal experience in public and private construction matters, starting with bid protests, through contract interpretation, unforeseen conditions and delay claims, stop notice litigation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation of construction disputes. He has resolved disputes both with general contractors, suppliers, and state and local public agencies.

Prior to his construction legal experience, Mr. Harris was a deputy public defender, representing nearly one thousand indigent clients through every step of the criminal justice system, from arraignment through jury trials (ending with six not guilty verdicts in one twelve month period). He also drafted, argued, and won appeals before the Appellate Division of the Superior Court.

Mr. Harris is a 2009 Graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and a 2004 graduate of University of Colorado at Boulder.
