Anjali M. Deodat Joins Rogers Joseph O’Donnell’s Government Contracts Practice as an Associate

Rogers Joseph O’Donnell, PC is pleased to welcome Anjali M. Deodat as an associate in the firm’s Government Contracts practice. Based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, Deodat represents government contractors in bid protests and claims and disputes litigation before agencies, the Government Accountability Office, the Court of Federal Claims and the Boards of Contract Appeals, with particular focus on matters involving defense and technology procurements.

“Anjali brings exactly the kind of Court of Federal Claims experience that makes an immediate difference for our government contracts clients,” said shareholder Stephen L. Bacon, who leads the firm’s D.C. office and is a member of the Government Contracts Practice Group. “Her background in bid protests and contract disputes, combined with the research and writing discipline she developed clerking, will be an invaluable asset to the team.”

Before joining RJO, Deodat clerked for the Honorable Thompson M. Dietz at the United States Court of Federal Claims, where her work centered on legal research and writing. The role sharpened her attention to detail and taught her to write for different audiences.

“I knew when considering the next stage of my career that I wanted hands-on experience in government contracts, and RJO’s reputation for that kind of work made it the clear choice,” Deodat said. “I’m excited to keep building on what I learned clerking at the Court of Federal Claims and to start working directly with clients on these issues.”

While in law school, Deodat was involved in the government contracts student association and was a member of the International Law in Domestic Courts Journal (Oxford University Press). She is a member of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims Bar Association.

Deodat earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and her B.A. in international affairs and economics from The George Washington University. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and New York, as well as the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
