Professional Qualifications

Ms. Deodat handles a wide range of matters, including bid protests, claims and performance disputes, terminations for default or convenience, regulatory compliance advice and counseling, False Claims Act issues and organizational conflicts of interest, and procurement integrity and ethics issues.

Before joining Rogers Joseph O’Donnell, Ms. Deodat clerked for The Honorable Thompson M. Dietz at the United States Court of Federal Claims, working on federal bid protests and Contract Disputes Act claims that often involved defense and technology procurements. This clerkship deepened her experience with complex statutory schemes, regulatory frameworks, federal case law, and litigation procedure — knowledge she now draws on to help clients resolve complex procurement issues. Earlier in her career, she worked at a small firm focused on internal investigations and compliance with state and local regulations. 

Ms. Deodat earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and her B.A. in international affairs and economics from The George Washington University. While in law school, she earned a J.D. Concentration in Government Procurement Law and participated in the Government Contracts Student Association. She was also a member of the International Law in Domestic Courts Journal (Oxford University Press). She is currently a member of the American Bar Association Public Contract Law Section and the United States Court of Federal Claims Bar Association.

Outside of the office, Ms. Deodat enjoys playing board games and reading science fiction and mystery novels. She also volunteers for the Sonia and Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program, which pairs New York City high school students with judges for hands-on legal experience, and is a dedicated supporter of the South Asian Youth Action.
