Stephen Bacon Elected to ABA Section of Public Contract Law Council

Rogers Joseph O’Donnell, P.C. shareholder Stephen L. Bacon was elected to the Council of the American Bar Association’s Section of Public Contract Law at the group’s recent annual meeting on July 15. He will serve a three-year term. 

The ABA Section of Public Contract Law is a global network of professionals that provides balanced recommendations on procurement policy. The Council governs the Section and ensures that it reflects a cross-section of the public procurement community. Members contribute their experience to Section comments on legislative or regulatory proposals and support the group’s various policy initiatives. 

RJO has a long history of involvement with the Section. Three of the firm’s attorneys have served as chair of the organization: current shareholder Aaron P. Silberman, of counsel Patricia A. Meagher, and firm co-founder Allan Joseph.

Before his election to the Council, Bacon served for three years as co-chair of the Section’s Contract Claims and Disputes Resolution Committee. He represents contractors, subcontractors and other clients in government contracts and construction disputes involving federal, state and local public projects. Bacon’s practice includes bid protests, contract claims and litigation arising from public procurement matters.
